Old school runners used to just leave their car keys on top of their front tire while they ran races or workouts. But, go the extra step to ensure your car is still there when you get back. Check your owner’s manual to see if it’s possible to disable the radio transmitter in your key fob (technically a function to save the battery life on your spare key). Then use the little metal key inside the fob to manually unlock the door. Or, you could get one of these devices to secure your key.
