Environmentally-friendly fashion brand VEJA are known for their lifestyle shoes that everyone in your office is probably wearing, but this week they’ve lauched their first move into the running market with The Condor - “the 1st post-petroleum running shoe”.

After four years of Research and Development, VEJA have launched their first ecological running shoe - The Condor. Made from 53% recycled materials, in a factory in Brazil that respects workers’ rights, the environment seems to be at the heart of the shoes design.

The upper is made from 100% recycled plastic bottles, the midsole is 55% regular E.V.A rubber, then 45% bio-based materials, including banana oil, sugar cane and rice husk.

A neutral running shoe, designed for the roads, when it comes to the numbers, a men’s size 8 weighs 315g and has a 10mm drop.
